Different insoles are available for Black Eagle Safety 53 mid to increase or reduce the volume in the shoe. For this purpose, we have developed a slightly thicker insole for narrow feet and a slightly thinner insole for wider feet.
Our Vario-Wide-Fit-System allows you to adjust the volume in the shoe.
The Black Eagle Safety 53 mid has been tested according to the standard DGUV 112-191 (BGR 191) and is therefore approved for orthopaedic insoles.
This allows the Black Eagle Safety 53 mid to be adapted even more optimally to the foot and to support its anatomical structure.
The Black Eagle Safety 53 low is a great fit for anyone looking for a rugged, relatively lightweight shoe that is extremely breathable. The sturdy suede provides breathability, while the comparatively low weight ensures comfort. For all those who work indoors and outdoors in hard-wearing conditions.

The Black Eagle Safety 53, unlike the other models, is a suede shoe. In addition, unlike the Black Eagle Safety 56 and the Black Eagle Safety 56 LL, it is waterproof thanks to GORE-TEX®. The fit of the models does not differ.

The Black Eagle Safety 53 mid can be cared for quickly and easily. With colourless, grease-free shoe polish for suede and nubuck leather, which does not affect the breathability of the leather or the colour of the shoe, and a waterproofing agent, the shoe is cared for.

We produce in a UK shoe size system. The distance between our half UK sizes is only a few millimetres. This makes it more likely to find exactly the right shoe length.
Half UK sizes differ in length by only a few millimetres.
You can simply wash the dirty shoes with water and a brush. Please do not dry the wet shoes (even if they are wet on the inside) on an open fire, a hot stove or a heater. This will change the shape of the shoe. Simply remove the footbed and stuff the shoes with newspaper or use a shoe tree. Then allow the shoes to air dry slowly. We recommend washing the footbed regularly at 30°. In general, it is best to remove the footbed from the shoes after every wear to ensure optimal re-drying.
Simply clean it with a brush and water and let it air dry.
From experience, the Black Eagle Safety 53 mid is a normal size. We therefore recommend that you choose the usual size.

Outstanding quality, attention to detail inside the boot, where it counts for comfort, is excellent and overall quality is very confidence inspiring. Light weight for a highly rated safety boot and this adds to the all day wearability. I measure to an exact UK 14 but found them to be a good day 15mm or so too large, so dropped to a UK 13 and they fit perfectly. Great heal cup, boots hug the top and sides of the foot but roomy toe box allows full movement of my toes inside the secured boot. Couldn't be better. Overall really pleased with my first purchase from Haix and I'll be treating myself to some hiking boots in the future. Highly recommended.

Great boots
I wear haix AirPower boots in one role and needed something lightweight, waterproof and protective for another role so looked across the market for a suitable boot. I’m really impressed with these, great for walking, driving and climbing on ladders.

Comfotable well constructed boot
The boots are a good fit and comfortable. They seem to be well made and robust which is what i need. I have previously used Danner which lasted me over 25 years but they are very expensive. These boots match for comfort and water proofing, and are well priced when you consider equitable products. A good buy.

Light, comfortable and durable
The boots are comfortable to wear straight out of the box. They are light and comfortable. My only criticism is that I prefer the quick lace up system although this is only my view. Overall a good sturdy boot.

Well made boot, not sure they were worth the price.
Ordered a size 5 originally and theybwere far too big and I never normally struggle with sizes, spoke to a couple colleagues who also have Haix boots and they had all had to go down a size also so beware of sizing. This was frustrating as delivery took the full 5 working days meaning they essentially arrived 10 days after I ordered (I ordered on a Saturday morning and they arrived late Monday evening the following week). Have worn them for archaeological work all week which mostly consists of a lot of walking around very uneven terrain. Some slight rubbing on the heels but nothing major, waterproofing is excellent. Well made boot but not really a great fit despite trying numerous sizes.
